Section 17 of the National Health Service Reform and Health Care Professions Act 2002 is amended as follows.

In subsection (1)—
a
after paragraph (f) insert—

persons providing primary medical services, primary dental services or primary ophthalmic services under Part 1 of the 1977 Act,
b
in paragraph (g), omit the words from “or under” to “that Act”.

In subsection (2), for “(1)(g)” substitute “
