(1)Where on a reference under [F5section 255B(4) or 255C(4)] in relation to any person, the Board does not [F6direct] his immediate release on licence under this Chapter, the Board must either—
(a)fix a date for the person’s release on licence, or
[F7(b)determine the reference by making no [F8direction] as to his release.]
