(1)
Section 75 of the Housing Associations Act 1985 (general functions of Relevant Authority) is amended as follows.

In subsection (1), omit paragraph (f).

“(1A)
The Housing Corporation also has the general function of providing, on request, to such extent as the Housing Corporation considers appropriate, advice and assistance to the Audit Commission for Local Authorities and the National Health Service in England and Wales in relation to the functions of the Commission mentioned in subsection (1B).
(1B)
The functions referred to in subsection (1A) are the functions of the Commission under Part 1 of the Local Government Act 1999 (best value), except to the extent that those functions are exercisable in relation to best value authorities in Wales (within the meaning given in that Act).”
