In the case of a widower who attains pensionable age before 6th April 2010, paragraphs 3C, 4 and 7A of Schedule 5 to the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 (c. 4) (entitlement to increase of pension or widowed person’s lump sum) shall not apply unless he was over pensionable age when his wife died.
