10Appointment of judge as panel member
(1)
If the Minister proposes to appoint as a member of an inquiry panel a particular person who is a judge of a description specified in the first column of the following table, he must first consult the person specified in the second column.

In this section “
sheriff principal
” and “
sheriff
” have the same meaning as in the Sheriff Courts (Scotland) Act 1971 (c. 58).
