Status and constitution of commons councils
28Status
(1)
A commons council is not to be regarded as the servant or agent of the Crown or as enjoying any status, immunity or privilege of the Crown.
(2)
The property of a commons council is not to be regarded as the property of, or as property held on behalf of, the Crown.
(3)
A commons council is not to be regarded as an authority to which section 28G of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (c. 69) applies.
