55Instructing or causing discrimination

It is unlawful for a person to instruct another to unlawfully discriminate.

It is unlawful for a person to cause or attempt to cause another to unlawfully discriminate.

It is unlawful for a person to induce or attempt to induce another to unlawfully discriminate.

For the purposes of subsection (3) inducement may be direct or indirect.

In this section a reference to unlawful discrimination is a reference to discrimination which is unlawful by virtue of any of sections 46 to 52.

Proceedings in respect of a contravention of this section may be brought only—
a
by the Commission for Equality and Human Rights, and
b
in accordance with section 25.
