17U.K.The member of the staff of the Assembly constituted by the Government of Wales Act 1998 who, immediately before the day of the poll at the 2007 election, holds the post referred to in the standing orders made under that Act as the Clerk to the Assembly is to be taken to be appointed under section 26(1) at the beginning of that day.
