The Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003 is amended as follows.

Section 63 (production of licence: Great Britain) is amended as follows.

Omit “and its counterpart” in each place.

(3)

In subsections (3)(b) and (4)(b), for “them” substitute “ it ”.

In subsection (7), omit the second sentence.

Section 68 (endorsement of licence: Great Britain) is amended as follows.

(2)

For subsections (2) to (5) substitute—

“(2)

The Secretary of State must secure that the particulars of the disqualification are endorsed on the person's driving record until the end of the period for which the endorsement remains effective.

(3)

At the end of the period for which the endorsement remains effective the Secretary of State must remove the endorsement from the person's driving record.”

For subsection (7) substitute—

“(7)

Where the person ceases to be disqualified by virtue of section 57(6), the Secretary of State must endorse the relevant particulars on his driving record.

In this section and section 69 “driving record” has the meaning given by section 97A of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.”

Section 69 (endorsement of licence: Northern Ireland) is amended as follows.

For subsections (2) to (5) substitute—

“(2)

The Department must secure that the particulars of the disqualification are endorsed on the person's driving record until the end of the period for which the endorsement remains effective.

(3)

At the end of the period for which the endorsement remains effective the Department must secure that the endorsement is removed from the person's driving record.”

For subsection (7) substitute—

“(7)

Where the person ceases to be disqualified by virtue of section 57(6), the Department must secure that the relevant particulars are endorsed on his driving record.”
