Forced Marriage (Civil Protection) Act 2007

Section 63K Remand: general

54.Subsection (1) provides that where an arrested person is brought before the court, that court may remand the person if the matter is not dealt with straight away.

55.Subsections (2) and (3) modify Schedule 5 to the FLA to apply the remand arrangements for county courts and the High Court to forced marriage protection orders.

56.Subsections (4) and (5) provide that where a person is remanded on bail the court may place conditions on that person such as those necessary to ensure witnesses are not interfered with.
