SCHEDULE 16 E+W The Law Society, solicitors, recognised bodies and foreign lawyers

Part 1 E+W The Solicitors Act 1974 (c. 47)

25 E+W For section 20 (unqualified person not to act as solicitor) substitute—

“20 Unqualified person not to act as solicitor

(1) No unqualified person is to act as a solicitor.

(2) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for not more than 2 years or to a fine, or to both.”
