Terms of appointment and tenure of members

Subject to sub-paragraphs (2) and (3), a person appointed to be a member of the Commission—

a

is to hold and vacate office in accordance with the terms and conditions of his or her appointment, and

b

may resign or be removed from office in accordance with those terms and conditions.

A person appointed as an executive director ceases to be a member of the Commission if he or she ceases to be a member of its staff.

A person appointed to chair the Commission or as a non-executive director ceases to be a member of the Commission if he or she becomes a member of its staff.
