The Police Act 1996 is amended as follows.

(a)
in subsection (3A) for “section 23 or 24” substitute “

Where a member of the British Transport Police Force is for the time being under the direction and control of the chief officer of another police force by virtue of a police force collaboration agreement under section 23, the member shall have all the powers and privileges of a member of that other force.

In subsection (3B), “police force” and “chief officer” have the meanings given by section 23I.”
