In section 30C(1) of the Gas Act 1986 (time limit on imposition of a penalty for contravention of a relevant condition or requirement or for failure to achieve a performance standard), for “12 months” substitute “ five years ”.

In section 27C(1) of the Electricity Act 1989 (time limit on imposition of a penalty for contravention of a relevant condition or requirement or for failure to achieve a performance standard), for “12 months” substitute “ five years ”.

The amendments made by this section do not apply in relation to any contravention or failure occurring before the day on which this section comes into force.
