Territorial Extent and Application
25.The Act extends to the whole of the UK, with the exception of Part 1 of Schedule 3, which extends only to Great Britain, and Part 2 of Schedule 3, which extends only to Northern Ireland and makes provision specific to Northern Ireland’s electoral system. The subject matter of the Act is reserved to the Westminster Parliament. This Act does not contain any provisions falling within the terms of the Sewel Convention.
