The Police Act 1996 is amended as follows.

In section 47 (grants for capital expenditure)—

a

in subsection (1), for the words from “by” to “Authority”, substitute “ by local policing bodies ”;

b

in subsection (4), for “by virtue of subsection (1)(b)” substitute “ under subsection (1) in respect of expenditure incurred (or to be incurred) by the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime ”;

c

in subsection (5)—
