The Registrar General must maintain a register which is to be called the Register of Presumed Deaths.

The register must be maintained in the General Register Office.

The register may be maintained in any form the Registrar General considers appropriate.

Schedule 1 (further provision about Register of Presumed Deaths) has effect.
