SCHEDULE 2 U.K. Responsible authorities

Civil servants and judiciary U.K.

1 U.K. Scheme regulations for civil servants may be made by the Minister for the Civil Service.

2 (1) Scheme regulations for the judiciary may be made by the Lord Chancellor. U.K.

(2) Before making scheme regulations in relation to an office with a jurisdiction exercised exclusively in relation to Scotland, the Lord Chancellor must consult the Secretary of State.

Local government workers U.K.

3 U.K. Scheme regulations for local government workers may be made by—

(a) the Secretary of State, in or as regards England and Wales;

(b) the Scottish Ministers, in or as regards Scotland.

Teachers U.K.

4 U.K. Scheme regulations for teachers may be made by—

(a) the Secretary of State, in or as regards England and Wales;

(b) the Scottish Ministers, in or as regards Scotland.

Health service workers U.K.

5 U.K. Scheme regulations for health service workers may be made by—

(a) the Secretary of State, in or as regards England and Wales;

(b) the Scottish Ministers, in or as regards Scotland.

Fire and rescue workers U.K.

6 U.K. Scheme regulations for fire and rescue workers may be made by—

(a) the Secretary of State, in or as regards England;

(b) the Welsh Ministers, in or as regards Wales;

(c) the Scottish Ministers, in or as regards Scotland.

Police forces U.K.

7 U.K. Scheme regulations for members of a police force may be made by—

(a) the Secretary of State, in or as regards England and Wales;

(b) the Scottish Ministers, in or as regards Scotland.

Armed forces U.K.

8 U.K. Scheme regulations for the armed forces may be made by the Secretary of State.
