In section 78 (interpretation of the 1949 Act), in subsection (1), after the definition of “registration district” insert—

““relevant national” means—

(a)

a British citizen,

(b)

a national of an EEA State other than the United Kingdom, or

(c)

a national of Switzerland;”.
