Section 70: Sale of liqueur confectionery to children under 16: abolition of offence

335.This section repeals section 148 of the Licensing Act 2003 which makes it a criminal offence to sell liqueur confectionery to a person aged under 16.

336.The section, as with the Licensing Act 2003, forms part of the law of England and Wales only. It comes into force on a day to be appointed by the Secretary of State in a commencement order.
