SCHEDULE 1 E+W Strategic highways companies: consequential and supplemental amendments

PART 1 E+W Highways Act 1980

56 (1) Section 271 (provisions with respect to transfer of toll highways to highway authorities) is amended as follows. E+W

(2) In subsection (1)(i), after “trunk road” insert “ for which he is the highway authority ”.

(3) After subsection (1)(i) insert—

“(ia) in the case of a trunk road for which it is the highway authority, a strategic highways company;”.
