Section 9 of that Act (British citizenship immaterial) is amended as follows.

In subsection (1), at the beginning insert “Except as provided by section 5(1A),”.

In subsection (2)(a), for “section 1, 2 or 3 above” substitute “this Act”.

In subsection (2)(c), for “section 3 above” substitute “this Act”.
