Section 63 (cooperation and information sharing by the Office for Students) is amended as follows.

In subsection (6), for “the Data Protection Act 1998” substitute “ the data protection legislation ”.

In subsection (7), at the appropriate place insert—

“the data protection legislation” has the same meaning as in the Data Protection Act 2018 (see section 3 of that Act);
