Section 13C (electoral identity card: Northern Ireland) is amended as follows.

In subsection (2)—
a
omit the “and” after paragraph (a);
b
omit paragraph (b).

After subsection (3) insert—
3A
Regulations may make provision about the issuing or collection of an electoral identity card.
3B
The provision that may be made by virtue of subsection (3A) includes provision amending the parliamentary elections rules in connection with the collection of an electoral identity card from a polling station.

In subsection (4), in paragraph (d), before “include” insert “subject to provision made by virtue of subsection (4A),”

Regulations may make provision—
a
about the information to be included in an electoral identity card;
b
about the form of an electoral identity card (including provision for the card to be issued in different forms in different circumstances).
