I163Power to amend references to subordinate legislation etc

The Secretary of State may by regulations made by statutory instrument amend—

a

any provision of this Act, or

b

any provision inserted by this Act into another Act,

in consequence of the amendment or revocation of any subordinate legislation which is for the time being referred to in the provision.

In subsection (1), “subordinate legislation” means—

a

subordinate legislation within the meaning of the Interpretation Act 1978, or

b

an instrument made under—

i

an Act of the Scottish Parliament,

ii

a Measure or Act of Senedd Cymru, or

iii

Northern Ireland legislation.

A statutory instrument containing regulations under subsection (1) may not be made unless a draft of the instrument has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.
