3Public contracts

A “public contract” is a contract of a kind specified in subsection (2), (3) or (4).

Any contract for the supply, for pecuniary interest, of goods, services or works to a contracting authority which—

a

has an estimated value of not less than the threshold amount for the type of contract, and

b

is not an exempted contract.

Any framework which—

a

has an estimated value of not less than the threshold amount for the type of contract, and

b

is not an exempted contract.

Any concession contract which—

a

has an estimated value of not less than the threshold amount for the type of contract, and

b

is not an exempted contract.

Schedule 1 sets out the threshold amounts.

Schedule 2 sets out contracts that are exempted contracts for the purposes of this Act.
