Duration of licences E+W

8 (1) Section 4 of the 2020 Act (duration) is amended as follows.

(2) For subsections (1) and (2) substitute—

“(1) A pavement licence may be granted by a local authority for such period as the authority may specify in the licence.

(2) The period specified may not exceed two years.”

(3) In subsection (3)—

(a) omit “, subject to subsection (4),”;

(b) for “a year” substitute “two years”.

(4) Omit subsection (4).
