CHAPTER 33 S FAMILY ACTIONS

PART I S GENERAL PROVISIONS

Productions in action of divorce or where [F2 section 11 order] may be made S

33.9. Unless the sheriff otherwise directs—

(a) in an action of divorce, a warrant for citation shall not be granted without there being produced with the initial writ an extract of the relevant entry in the register of marriages or an equivalent document; and

(b) [F3 in a family action which includes a crave for a section 11 order], a warrant for citation shall not be granted without there being produced with the initial writ an extract of the relevant entry in the register of births or an equivalent document.
