Textual Amendments
2E+WIn subsection (1) of section one, for the reference to a certificate of the registrar given in pursuance of that Act there shall be substituted a reference to a certificate of the registrar given under subsection (2) or (3) of section eleven or under section twenty–four of this Act.

3E+WIn section five, for the reference to a certificate given by the registrar under the provisions of that Act relating to still–births, there shall be substituted a reference to a certificate given by the registrar under subsectin (2) or (3) of section eleven of this Act.

4For paragraph 6 of the Schedule there shall be substituted the following paragraph—
“6Any parent who fails to give information as required by this Schedule shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding forty shillings and any sum paid to the Secretary of State in pursuance of section twenty–seven of the justices of the Peace Act, 1949, in respect of a fine recovered under this paragraph shall be deemed to be Exchequer moneys within the meaning of that section and shall be paid by the Secretarary of State into the Exchequer.”
