C114AF2 Re–registration after declaration of parentage.

Where, in the case of a person whose birth has been registered in England and Wales—

a

the Registrar General receives, by virtue of section F155A(7) or 56(4) of the M1Family Law Act 1986, a notification of the making of a declaration of parentage in respect of that person; and

b

it appears to him that the birth of that person should be re–registered,

he shall authorise the re–registration of that person’s birth, and the re–registration shall be effected in such manner and at such place as may be prescribed.

This section shall apply with the prescribed modifications in relation to births at sea of which a return is sent to the Registrar General.
