50F1 Exclusion of statutory tenants from receipt of certain notices.

This section applies for the purposes of—

a

paragraph 3(b) of Schedule 1 to the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 (orders designating national parks and other orders), and

b

any local enactment regulating the service of notices in respect of the proposed exercise of any powers in relation to land.

For those purposes an occupier who is a statutory tenant within the meaning of the Rent Act 1977 or the Rent (Agriculture) Act 1976 shall be deemed to be a tenant for a period less than a month.

Any reference in this Act to any enactment is a reference thereto as amended, extended or applied by any subsequent enactment including any local enactment and including, unless the context otherwise requires, this Act.

54 Short title, commencement, extent and repeals.

This Act may be cited as the Housing Repairs and Rents Act 1954.
