FIRST SCHEDULEModifications of Procedure for Obtaining Clearance Orders and certain Compulsory Purchase Orders

A notice relating to—

a

a compulsory purchase of land in or surrounded by or adjoining a clearance area under Part III of the principal Act, or

b

a clearance order under the said Part III, or

c

a compulsory purchase of land under section three of this Act or section sixteen of the principal Act,

which by sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph 3 of the First Schedule to the principal Act, or sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph 3 of the Third Schedule to that Act, or paragraph (b) of sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 3 of the First Schedule to the Acquisition of Land (Authorisation Procedure) Act, 1946, is to be served on an owner, lessee or occupier may be served in accordance with sub-paragraph (2) of this paragraph.

The notice may be served on an owner, lessee or occupier of land by addressing it to him by the description of " owner" or " lessee " or " occupier " of the land (describing it) to which it relates and by delivering it to some person on the premises or, if there is no person on the premises to whom it may be delivered, by affixing it, or a copy of it, to some conspicuous part of the premises.

The provisions of this paragraph shall be without prejudice to the power to serve a notice in accordance with section one hundred and sixty-seven of the principal Act or paragraph 19 of the First Schedule to the Acquisition of Land (Authorisation Procedure) Act, 1946.
