Provisions as to evidence
200AF2 False statements in computer record certificates.

Any person who in a certificate tendered under paragraph 8 of Schedule 3 to the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (computer records) in evidence before a court-martial makes a statement which he knows to be false or does not believe to be true shall be guilty of an offence and liable—
a
on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to a fine or to both;
b
on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum or to both.

In this section “statutory maximum” has the meaning given by section 74 of the Criminal Justice Act M11982.
