3 Power to award costs.
Any Court of Referees on private Bills, in cases in which, under any Standing Order or other order of the House, the referees may be empowered to inquire into the whole subject matter of any such Bill, and to report it, with or without amendments, to the House, may award costs in the same manner as select committees on private Bills are empowered to award costs by the M1Parliamentary Costs Act 1865, and all the provisions of the said Act shall apply in the case of Bills so referred to the referees.
