The expences of any such inquiry shall, in case of difference, be settled by the sheriff on the application of either party; and such expences shall include all reasonable charges and expences incurred in summoning, impannelling, and returning the jury, taking the inquiry, the attendance of witnesses, the employment of counsel and agents, recording the verdict and judgment thereon, and otherwise incident to such inquiry, including . . .
