41.—(1) Any certificate issued under section 17 of the Land Compensation Act 1961 or having effect as if so issued before 1st April 1965 by the London County Council, the county council of Middlesex, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent or Surrey or the council of the county borough of Croydon, East Ham or West Ham in respect of any land in an area specified in column (1) of the following table shall have effect as if issued by the council specified in respect of such area in column (2).

(2) Any application for a certificate under the said section made before 1st April 1965 to an authority described in paragraph (1) in respect of any land in an area specified in column (1) shall have effect as if made to the council specified in respect of such area in column (2).
