WEIGHTS AND MEASURES;ADMINISTRATION
These Regulations prescribe the form of stamp to be used by inspectors of weights and measures for stamping weighting and measuring equipment which they have passed as fit for use for trade.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations prescribe the form of stamp to be used by inspectors of weights and measures for stamping weighting and measuring equipment which they have passed as fit for use for trade.
They replace the Weights and Measures (Prescribed Stamp) Regulations 1963.
The only change is that the form of stamp employed to stamp glass, earthenware or enamelled metal measures need not include any indication of the year in which the stamp is applied.
