1. These Regulations may be cited as the Savings Contracts Regulations 1969, and shall come into operation on 1st October 1969.
2.—(1) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires—
“amount repayable”,
“the authority” means
“contributor” means
“mentally disordered person”, in the application of these Regulations to England and Wales, means
“receiver”, in the application of these Regulations to England and Wales, means
“savings contract” means
“Treasury Solicitor” means
“trustee savings bank” means
(2) Any reference in these Regulations to the provisions of any enactment shall be construed, unless the context otherwise requires, as a reference to those provisions as amended by any other enactment.
(3) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of these Regulations as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
