The Decimal Currency (End of Transitional Period) Order 1971

Coming into Operation
The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 16(1) of the Decimal Currency Act 1969 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Decimal Currency (End of Transitional Period) Order 1971, and shall come into operation on 31st August 1971.

The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
3
The transitional period, as defined in section 16(1) of the Decimal Currency Act 1969, shall end with 31st August 1971.
