Deposits may be made in Scotland by the Sheriff Clerk of a Sheriff Court under the authority of any statute or statutory instrument in that behalf.

Application to open an account shall be made in the approved form, and shall be signed by the Sheriff Clerk in the presence of a witness.

Any application to withdraw the deposits shall be signed by the Sheriff Clerk.

Where deposits standing in the name of a Sheriff Clerk are transferred into the name of the Sheriff Clerk of any other Sheriff Court, the Sheriff Clerk into whose name the deposits are transferred shall make an application as provided in paragraph (2) above.

In this Regulation references to the Sheriff Clerk include references to the Sheriff Clerk Depute.
