The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Maintenance Orders Act 1958, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) (Revocation) Order 1974 and shall come into operation on 8th May 1974.
2.—(1) Insofar as the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Order 1959(1) provides that the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act 1920 shall extend to the countries and territories specified in paragraph (2) below, that Order is hereby revoked, and accordingly the names of those countries and territories shall be omitted from the First Schedule to that Order.
(2) The countries and territories referred to in paragraph (1) above are—
(a)Australia, Territory for the Seat of Government of the Commonwealth (Australian Capital Territory);
(b)British Columbia;
(c)Gibraltar;
(d)Manitoba;
(e)New South Wales;
(f)New Zealand;
(g)Northern Territory of Australia;
(h)Nova Scotia;
(i)Ontario;
(j)Queensland;
(k)South Australia;
(l)Tasmania;
(m)Victoria.

This Order revokes the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Order 1959 insofar as it extends the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act 1920 to the Australian Territories and State (except Western Australia), British Columbia, Gibraltar, Manitoba, New Zealand, Nova Scotia and Ontario. Those countries and territories are designated as reciprocating countries for the purposes of Part I of the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1972 (c. 18) by the Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Orders (Designation of Reciprocating Countries) Order 1974 (S.I. 1974/556) which comes into operation on the same date as this Order.
