The Unsolicited Goods and Services (Amendment) Act 1975 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1975

The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(3) of the Unsolicited Goods and Services (Amendment) Act 1975 hereby orders as follows:—

1.  This Order may be cited as the Unsolicited Goods and Services (Amendment) Act 1975 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1975.

2.  Section 2(2) of the Unsolicited Goods and Services (Amendment) Act 1975 shall come into operation on 30th May 1975.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 30th May 1975 section 2(2) of the Unsolicited Goods and Services (Amendment) Act 1975. This replaces section 6(2) of the Unsolicited Goods and Services Act 1971 with a provision that invoices and similar documents will be regarded as asserting a right to payment unless they comply with Regulations made under section 3A of the 1971 Act, as amended.
