The Agriculture Act 1967 (Amendment) Regulations 1976
Citation, commencement and interpretation1.
(1)
These regulations may be cited as the Agriculture Act 1967 (Amendment) Regulations 1976, and shall come into operation on 1st December 1976.
(2)
The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of these regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
Amendment of the Agriculture Act 19672.

“or (d) where the grant is made in pursuance of provisions of a scheme implementing, or arising out of or related to, a Community obligation.”

In Witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 21st October 1976.
These Regulations, which apply to the whole of the United Kingdom, amend section 27 of the Agriculture Act 1967 (which makes provision for grants to be made to individuals who in prescribed circumstances relinquish occupation of uncommercial units of agricultural land), so that grant may be made in pursuance of provisions of a scheme implementing, or arising out of, or related to Community obligations, particularly those specified in Directive 72/160/EEC of the Council (O.J./S.E. 1972 (II), p. 332)) on encouragement to cease farming and the reallocation for the purpose of structural improvement of the agricultural area to be released.
