This Order brings into force on 19th June 1978 section 62 of the Criminal Law Act 1977 (which gives an arrested person a right to have someone informed of his arrest) and also brings into force on 17th July 1978 the provisions of that Act set out in the Schedule to this Order. This Order does not affect Scotland.
