In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 89(3) of the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978, I hereby make the following Order:—

1.  This Order may be cited as the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1978.

2.  The provisions of the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978 specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters specified in column 2 thereof) shall come into force forthwith.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force forthwith the provisions of the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978 mentioned in the Schedule to this Order.
