PUBLIC HEALTH, ENGLAND AND WALES

These Regulations consolidate the Public Health (Ships) Regulations 1970, the Public Health (Ships) (Amendment) Regulations 1974 and the Public Health (Ships) (Amendment) Regulations 1978 which provide for public health control of ships arriving at or leaving ports in England and Wales.

Any authorised officer may for the purposes of these regulations require a ship on arrival or already in the district to be brought to, and if necessary moored or anchored at, some safe and convenient place for the purpose of medical inspection.
