[F1Disapplication of section 1(1A) of the Administration Act for the purposes of retirement pension
1A. Section 1(1A) of the Administration Act (requirement to state national insurance number) shall not apply—

(b)to an adult dependant in respect of whom a claim for an increase of retirement pension is made or treated as made before 5th October 1998.]
[F3(c)to an adult dependant who—
(i)is a person in respect of whom a claim for an increase of retirement pension is made;
(ii)is subject to immigration control within the meaning of section 115(9)(a) of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999; and
(iii)has not previously been allocated a national insurance number.]
