The Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 1981

The Secretary of State for Transport (in these Regulations referred to as “the Secretary of State”) in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 43(1), (2) and (6) and 44(4), (6) and (7) of the Road Traffic Act 1972 and now vested in him1 and of all enabling powers, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with the provisions of section 199(2) of the said Act of 1972, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
