This Order amends the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 1962 by providing that:—
(i) the removal of the snood of a turkey which has reached the age of 21 days and
(ii) the removal of the comb of a fowl which has reached the age of 72 hours
can no longer be carried out by a layman. The operations must now be carried out by a veterinary surgeon.
