The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 3(2) of the International Monetary Arrangements Act 1983 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the International Monetary Arrangements Act 1983 (Commencement) Order 1983.
2. Section 1 of the International Monetary Arrangements Act 1983 shall come into force on 14th November 1983.

This Order brings into force on 14th November 1983 section 1 of the International Monetary Arrangements Act 1983 which substitutes a new limit for the limit on lending to the International Monetary Fund imposed by section 2(1) of the International Monetary Fund Act 1979. The remaining provisions of the 1983 Act came into force on 26th July 1983, the date on which the Act was passed.
